Project Overview

FWS Group designed and constructed the Potash Bulk Storage & Distribution Facility, an extensive infrastructure project aimed at enhancing potash storage and distribution capabilities. This facility is equipped to handle large volumes of potash efficiently, with a focus on safety and operational excellence.

The scope of work for the Potash Bulk Storage & Distribution Facility project included the following key features:

  • Arch Rib Truss Storage Buildings: The facility features Arch Rib Truss storage buildings with a total capacity of 140,000 metric tonnes. Of this, 100,000 tonnes are accommodated in a large building. These structures are designed to provide robust and efficient storage solutions for potash.
  • Extensive Floor and Roof Area: The facility encompasses a total floor area of over 15,000 square meters (more than 165,000 square feet). The roof area exceeds 25,500 square meters (over 275,000 square feet), providing ample space for storage and operations.
  • Dual-Grade Product Storage: The facility is designed to accommodate both industrial grade and fertilizer grade potash products. This flexibility allows for the storage of various types of potash, catering to different market needs.
  • Safety and Efficiency: The project involved over 250,000 self-performed man hours with zero lost time incidents, underscoring FWS Group’s commitment to safety and operational efficiency. This achievement reflects the meticulous planning and execution of the project, ensuring a safe working environment and successful project delivery.

The Potash Bulk Storage & Distribution Facility project exemplifies FWS Group’s capability in developing large-scale storage and distribution infrastructure. The facility’s design and construction ensure efficient storage, handling, and distribution of potash, while maintaining a strong focus on safety and operational excellence.
