Planning Estimator

As our Project Planner you will work with our sales, engineering and planning teams to assist with the development of preliminary designs, cost estimates, scheduling and proposal submission.

Position Overview:

• Assist the Project Manager to transfer contract information regarding the contractual, cost, and scope items necessary for the effective completion of the project.
• Preparation of proposal documents, contract documents, Letter of Authorizations
• Assist the Project Manager with finalizing all schedules, prepare purchase orders, and communicate all necessary information to subcontractors. Obtain any necessary insurance, building permits, or bonds.

• Request quotations for projects
• Review and interpret tender packages.

Qualifications Needed:

• Experience in planning specifically in the construction industry.
• Experience using AutoCAD, Timberline, Microsoft Office, Scheduling, accounting, and estimating software are an asset.
• A clear communicator offering creative solutions while managing tight deadlines and critical project details.
• Basic understanding of construction laws, contracts, insurance, bonding and provincial taxation.
• Education/training in engineering and formal training in Project Management would be an asset.
