As our Site Administrator you will provide on-site technical and administrative support to the project under the direction of the Superintendent/Construction Manager.
Position Overview:
- Provides overall administration of site office, courier deliveries, and office equipment and supplies
- Direct phone calls, takes and delivers accurate messages
- Takes accurate minutes of meetings or transcribe from notes
- Ensures office is maintained in a clean and orderly fashion
- Takes regular site photos
- Performs other duties as directed by the Superintendent/Construction Manager and/or project manager
- Completes payroll entry and site reports on a daily basis
- Provide assistance for turnaround and vacation requests, apprenticeship applications, new hire/ onboarding packages, and other items as directed from superintendent/Construction Manager or head office
- Maintains current employee, safety, and trade certification files
- Sets up accounts with local suppliers, issues purchase orders, and receives goods daily as required
- Controls documents, files, and maintains current drawings and specifications
Qualifications Needed:
- Ability to handle multiple time-sensitive tasks while working within a team environment
- Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Strong understanding of bookkeeping, purchase orders and invoicing, and payroll
- 2-5 years’ related construction experience and general knowledge of construction materials, techniques, and the ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications are an asset
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Proficiency with MS Word, Excel and Outlook; proficiency with MS Project is an asset
- Ability to deal effectively with all levels of staff, clients and suppliers
- Possess a valid driver's license
- Must be able to work a 14/7 work rotation with extended time away from home.
- This is a full-time term position for the duration of the project but may lead to full time career employment
