As our Rigging Supervisor, you will be responsible for providing support to the Manager and Managing Director, Confidence Crane, the Supervisor will oversee the day-to-day craning operations on the jobsites, as well as assist the CCL Manager in BD planning.
Position Overview:
- Ensure safety and quality standards for hoisting and rigging.
- Plan and supervise hoisting tasks on-site as Lift Supervisor.
- Monitor crews for performance and adherence to expectations.
- Read and interpret crane manufacturer guidelines and load charts.
- Train junior workers on trade skills.
- Support Manager with job hazard assessments, incident investigations, and corrective actions.
- Complete Operator Competency Reports and Site Observations.
- Assist in scaling and sizing jobs, reviewing customer work methods, and responding to technical inquiries.
- Perform other tasks as assigned when cranes are idle.
- Coordinate with other FWS units for crane resource optimization.
- Assist in developing project craning strategies and constructability methodologies.
- Motivate team toward shared objectives and implement crew incentives.
- Arrange crane moves, operate cranes as needed, and manage crane load lists.
- Diagnose crane issues, arrange technician support, and provide weekly reports.
- Promote CCL services to external clients.
Qualifications Needed:
- Professional, pleasant demeanor with strong multitasking abilities.
- Red Seal Endorsement for mobile crane operation required.
- Valid 1A or equivalent driver’s license.
- Strong problem-solving skills and logical reasoning.
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
- Proficient in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and Microsoft Project.
- Able to work a 21/7 rotation as needed.
- Knowledge of maintenance and minor repairs.
- Self-motivated, able to work independently and in a team.
Other Information
- Full-time, salary position with paid overtime.
- Frequent travel to remote job sites; primarily field-based (90%).
- Combination of field work, site visits, and some office work.
