The Hidden Power of Quality: How It Transforms Projects
Quality is a central part of our work and identity. To emphasize the importance of quality in construction, we are dedicating a week to reflecting on our achievements and continuing to push for improvements. Quality Week provides an opportunity for us to assess how far we’ve come, recognize the hard work of our teams and reinforce the practices that ensure client satisfaction.
Why Quality Matters
Meeting specifications is not enough—it’s about getting the job done right the first time. At FWS, quality is what we leave behind. It reflects the effort we put into every project and is a direct result of our employees' attention to detail and commitment. During Quality Week, we want to engage everyone in discussions about how we can further improve and continue to raise our standards.
Focusing On Construction Quality
A crucial part of our work is ensuring the structural integrity of our builds and making sure every mechanical and technical aspect is in line with project standards. This week, we reinforce the message that quality is not just an ideal but a practice embedded in every part of our work. We want to ensure everyone on our team is familiar with our Quality Management System and is confident in applying it to every project.
Engaging Through Activities And Competitions
Additionally, we are hosting several activities to foster engagement and deepen our collective understanding of construction quality. Employees are invited to participate in a photo contest, where they can submit photos of quality work they’ve completed, whether at home or on the job. Each submission comes with a write-up that explains the process and the focus on quality. We also have a quiz to test everyone’s knowledge of our Quality Management Program, work instructions and key industry codes. With prizes up for grabs, it’s a chance for teams to demonstrate their understanding and commitment to quality.
Learning From Guest Speakers
Throughout the week, we’ll be hosting lunch-and-learn sessions with guest speakers. These sessions offer our teams an opportunity to learn from industry experts. It’s a chance to ask questions of subject matter experts, share knowledge and strengthen our collective approach to quality.
If you have questions about our quality practices or want to learn more about our projects, we invite you to contact us. We’re always ready to discuss how we approach construction quality and how we can help meet your project needs.
