Project Overview

FWS Group was responsible for designing and constructing the Multi-Species Feedmill Facility, a state-of-the-art operation designed to support comprehensive feed production for various animal species. This facility was developed to enhance production capabilities, improve efficiency, and ensure adherence to high-quality standards.

The scope of work for the Multi-Species Feedmill Facility included the following key features:

  • Feed Types and Capacity: The facility produces bagged and bulk feeds in pelleted, mash, and textured forms. It is designed to handle a current annual production of 140,000 tonnes, with a future capacity to expand to 200,000 tonnes annually. This flexibility supports a wide range of feed types and future growth.
  • Smooth Wall Internal/Process Bins: The facility includes smooth wall internal/process bins designed for efficient handling and storage of feed materials. These bins ensure easy cleaning and maintenance, reducing contamination risks and improving operational efficiency.
  • Truck Loadout and Receiving: Equipped with a comprehensive truck loadout and receiving system, the facility includes platform scales for accurate measurement and handling of feed materials. This system streamlines the loading and unloading processes, enhancing operational flow and accuracy.
  • Attached Warehouse: A 15,000 square foot warehouse is attached to the facility, providing ample space for storing raw materials and finished products. This warehouse supports efficient inventory management and accessibility.
  • Civil, Mechanical, and Electrical Installations: The project included complete civil, mechanical, and electrical installations, ensuring all aspects of the facility’s infrastructure were fully integrated and operational.
  • Automated Control Systems: Advanced automated control systems were implemented to manage and monitor production processes. These systems enhance operational efficiency by providing real-time control and data analysis.
  • HACCP Standards: The facility was built to meet HACCP (Hazards Analysis Critical Control Point) standards, ensuring that all processes are designed to identify and manage potential hazards, thereby maintaining high-quality and safety standards.

The Multi-Species Feedmill Facility represents a significant advancement in feed production technology, offering enhanced capacity, efficiency, and safety. The project showcases FWS Group’s capability in delivering sophisticated, high-standard facilities tailored to meet the needs of the agricultural industry.
