Laptops for Ukrainian Students

In January, we attended a tradeshow/networking event, which invited Ukrainian Refugees to attend and to apply for jobs in the Grain Industry.  At this time, Jason Coreau, Managing Director, discovered that there were some school age children from Ukraine that were in need of laptops.

Typically, like many other companies, our dated laptops get wiped clean and sent on for proper recycling and disposal.  Our IT Department went to work on reformatting, updating, and preparing 20 laptops for this upcycling opportunity.  

The children were thrilled, and many were moved to tears because without this donation, many would not have access to this equipment.  

We would like to thank Slav from Hi-Tech Installations Ltd., and Mirka at Ralph Brown School for collaborating with us.  

This small collaboration between a couple of local companies made such a positive impact. Let’s all challenge each other in the business community to think outside the box and see what else we can do to help people in need!
