Health, safety and our commitment to protecting the environment is paramount in all FWS operations and at the forefront of everything we do. FWS believes our people are our greatest asset and there is nothing more important than everyone going home safe at the end of the day.
FWS Group of Companies has a comprehensive Health, Safety & Environmental Program that is implemented throughout all levels and sectors of the company. Our goal is to prevent incidents by ensuring everyone is trained and educated in their roles within the company. Employee engagement is encouraged through active participation in hazard identification and risk management, regular jobsite inspections and full compliance with the FWS HSE program.
Our Commitment to Safety
FWS’ commitment to Safety is simple – everybody goes home safe! In order to succeed, we work diligently with all stakeholders including our employees, clients and other contractors to ensure our worksites are as safe as possible.
Our People – Our Culture
At FWS, we believe our greatest asset is our employees because without them our business would not be successful. Our goal is to maintain a workforce that is competent, safety focused, personally fulfilled and driven to succeed. FWS strives to maintain a safety culture where our employees take ownership for safety of themselves and others. Our people do not accept low standards and risk-taking, and share a collective belief that true improvement can only be achieved as a group, and that zero injuries is an attainable goal.
Our Commitment to the Environment
FWS recognizes environmental protection as a key component of sound business performance, and a matter of delivering on our duty of care towards future generations. FWS is committed to reducing environmental impact and are continually improving our environmental performance as an integral and fundamental part of our business strategy and operating methods. It is our priority to encourage our customers, suppliers and all business associates to do the same.
Our Corporate Manager of Health & Safety, with the support of the FWS Executive Management, maintains our Health & Safety Program by listening to employees’ concerns and suggestions, and working with FWS’ team of professionals who monitor and set forth adjustments to our Health and Safety Policy.
We are proud of our people and their continued commitment to health and safety, which is further evidenced by FWS earning the prestigious “Certificate of Recognition” in the Western Provinces including: Manitoba, Saskatchewan, Alberta and British Columbia.
